Putin discussed improving the effectiveness of Russia’s IT security measures with the Security Council

Russian President Vladimir Putin, at an operational meeting with permanent members of the Security Council, proposed to discuss improving measures to ensure the country’s information security. This was reported by RIA News.

The head of state noted that this issue is very important and relevant not only for Russia, but also for the Security Council, especially in view of current realities.

The President invited the Director of the Federal Technical and Export Control Service (FSTEC) Vladimir Selin to prepare a report.

In early October, the Russian IT industry sent Recommendations to the Ministry of Digital Development and the State Duma on correcting the rule prohibiting the participation of legal entities and individuals in the activities of foreign non-profit organizations (NPOs) not represented in the Russian Federation.
