Odnoklassniki (OK) has launched an update aimed at users’ hobbies and various interests. This was reported to socialbites.ca in a press release from the service.
At the beginning of September, the Odnoklassniki social network launched a new service: “Hobbies”. Initially, the eight most popular hobbies among Russians were presented: cooking, cars, crafts, fishing, pets, fashion, entertainment and gardening. You can subscribe to them through special widgets in the feed and a separate category “Top Authors”.
Now “Hobbies” has its own search and the navigation has changed. Additionally, “Hobbies” posts were made available to unauthorized users: all posts were visible through searches in search engines.
Two new sections also appeared: “Knowledge Base” and “Questions and Answers”. The first publishes articles and videos professionally written or filmed by experts from various fields and selected by OK editors.
Q&A allows creators and businesses to engage the entire Hobbies audience by answering user questions about their chosen hobby.
Previously, Odnoklassniki together with the educational platform Surdoclass for the hearing impaired published a series of video wishes with sign language translation.
