NVIDIA is preparing to release a budget GeForce GTX 1630 video card. It will receive a TU117 graphics chip with 512 active CUDA cores and a 64-bit memory bus. So it will be weaker than the GTX 1650 and even inferior to the GTX 1050 Ti.
The price has not yet been specified, but it is clear that the novelty will be cheap. It is also noted that the GTX 1630 card will be released on June 15, rather than the originally planned release on May 31.
So it will be a conditional game card as it is unlikely to handle modern games on max settings. On the other hand, it will be sufficient for small indie projects – it will still be better than the built-in Intel video cores. By the way, AMD plans to release a Radeon RX 6300 card of a similar class, it will be based on the Navi 24 graphics chip. There is no release date for the “red” card yet.
