The Russian government has approved a decision on additional confirmation of logging into the government services website. This was reported by TASS with reference to the relevant order.

To enter the portal, in addition to your username and password, you will need an additional confirmation method – a one-time SMS code, a code from a special application or biometric data.

It was noted that the user can log in to his account in public services once without two-factor authentication.

Starting from October 1, two-factor authentication has become mandatory when logging into the government services portal for new users and those restoring their accounts.
