WhatsApp developers have completely redesigned the way you send audio and video messages in messengers. The portal reports this WABetaInfo.
In the beta version of WhatsApp for iPhone numbered 23.21.1.71, changes were made to the chat design, making it easier for users to choose between audio and video messages. If the user previously tapped the microphone or video camera icon in the chat, it would switch between the two message types. Now pressing it will open a drop-down menu with the choice of the desired mode: audio or video messages.
The solution is said to be designed to help careless users who tap the microphone icon and then unknowingly send a video message instead of a voice message. Once you have selected the mode you want, you will need to press and hold the corresponding icon to start recording the message.
The new menu for switching between modes is now available to some beta testers who have installed the updated beta version of WhatsApp for iOS from TestFlight. It is not known when the innovation will appear to other users.
