DxOMark experts published Reviews of the screens of the new flagship smartphones Google Pixel 8 and 8 Pro. Both models showed outstanding results and took first place in the list of all tested devices, ahead of competitors from Samsung, Apple and Xiaomi.
According to DxOMark, both displays have excellent color reproduction, good readability in different lighting conditions, high-quality HDR10 video processing, as well as high fluency and responsiveness.
However, it also has some disadvantages, such as loss of detail in dark areas at low brightness, accidental touching of the screen while using the device, and noticeable aliasing (sudden changes in the image) in games.
Pixel 8 Pro received 154 DxOMark points, becoming the best in its category. The Pixel 8 received the same overall score despite having a slightly simpler display and no dynamic refresh rate.
The flagship Pixel 8 Pro features a 6.7-inch OLED display with 2992 x 1344 resolution, 2400 nits maximum brightness, and an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120 Hz (LTPO). The base Pixel 8 offers a 6.2-inch OLED display with 2400 x 1080 resolution, 2000 nits peak brightness, and 120Hz refresh rate.
Previously iPhone 15 screen accepted fewer points than the old Google Pixel 7’s screen.
