The first fast electric charging station (ECS) went into operation in Lipetsk, Sber’s press service reported.

While electric car owners can charge their car’s battery up to 80% in 20 minutes, this process can take from a few hours to a day at standard electric charging stations.

“Today, we are launching a very important project for the development of environmentally friendly transportation in our country and opening the first electric charging station in Lipetsk. In the near future, we plan to install 10 more fast electric charging stations, each with a capacity of 150 kW, which will allow us to charge more than 330 cars per day,” said Stanislav Kuznetsov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sberbank.

To charge an electric car, the owner needs to install the “ChargeService” application on his phone. In it, you can get directions to the electric charging station you want, see availability and reserve time for charging.

“Lipetsk region can be called the flagship in the development of environmental transport. We successfully operate a facility that produces electric cars of the Evolute brand, known as Russia’s number 1 electric car. Their convenience and cost-effectiveness were appreciated by many,” said Lipetsk Region Governor Igor Artamonov.

Installation, installation and other maintenance of the entire infrastructure will be carried out by SberService. The project for the construction of power plants in the region will be launched in 2023 between Sberbank and the government of the Lipetsk region and St. It is implemented within the framework of the agreement signed at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

“For SberService it was important not only to support the trend towards the development of green technologies, but also to contribute to their development. This year we will put the first 11 electric charging stations into operation – we do not plan to stop there and will further develop the charging infrastructure of the region and scale the project in the Central Black Earth region,” said Alexey Evtushenko, General Director of SberService.

EZS is assembled by the Perm electrical equipment manufacturer PSS Corporation and consists of 85% components developed and produced in Russia: from housings to connectors and microcircuits.
