DxOMark experts published the results We are testing the camera of the new iPhone 15 Pro smartphone. The device showed a high level of photo and video quality, breaking eight laboratory records, but still did not take the first place in the ranking.

iPhone 15 Pro has the same camera set as the iPhone 15 Pro Max. The only difference is that the Pro Max uses a 5x zoom periscope telephoto lens while the base Pro uses a 3x telephoto lens.

According to DxOMark experts, the iPhone 15 Pro does an excellent job of metering exposure, blurring backgrounds, maintaining the balance between noise and texture, and conveying natural skin tones. The smartphone takes beautiful photos of both people and landscapes, using HDR to create bright and contrasty shots. However, the device has some drawbacks, such as shadow noise, flare and ghosting artifacts, and lack of detail when shooting from a distance.

In video recording mode, the iPhone 15 Pro also performed well, breaking five DxOMark records. The smartphone features accurate exposure, rich colors, fast focusing, minimal noise and good stabilization. Additionally, the device accurately applies HDR to the video, making the videos bright and contrasty.

According to the test results, the iPhone 15 Pro received praise from DxOMark experts for its camera, but it failed to be the best in the world. The smartphone shared the second place in the global rankings and the first place in the price category with the iPhone 15 Pro Max. Both Apple smartphones scored 154 points, losing to the DxOMark leader Huawei P60 Pro with 156 points.
