One of the many signs that your smartphone is infected with malware can be rapid battery drain. In this respect reports The RT broadcast refers to Mikhail Shurygin, director of the IT company EdgeCenter.

“If nothing has changed in the use of the device, but its battery has started to drain suspiciously quickly, this may be a sign that malware is installed,” Shurygin said.

In this case, he says, it would be useful to check the list of running applications in the battery settings. The expert explained that the names of malicious applications often consist of random combinations of letters or numbers.

“Signs of hacking can include program malfunctions and numerous pop-ups in the browser. Malicious applications can waste cellular or Wi-Fi traffic when attacked. You can track such programs in the device’s cellular settings,” Shurygin added.

Also, according to him, spontaneous sounds coming from the speaker and restarting the smartphone may indicate that the device has been hacked. The expert noted that when a smartphone is hacked, third parties gain access to control of the device and confidential information stored on it.

Shurygin believes that if the listed signs are detected, the first step is to scan the smartphone with an antivirus for the presence of malware.

Previously expert said “socialbites.ca” about the need to create a military police for hackers.
