Scientists from the NTI Competence Center “Geodata and Geoinformation Technologies” at the Moscow State University of Geodesy and Cartography (MIIGAiK) have created an artificial intelligence-based technology that can simultaneously track up to 500 thousand unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in the sky. This was reported by RIA NewsWith reference to the press service of the National Technology Initiative (NTI).

As stated in the press service, at the end of 2023 an experimental prototype will be released, which will be tested next year.

They also noted that before launching a drone, you need to coordinate the flight with many services that need to control and monitor the entire process. The current monitoring system achieves this when nearly 100 drones are flying over the region at the same time, but difficulties will arise when their numbers increase to several thousand.

Developers formerly from Sakhalin Center for Unmanned Technologies was created A quadcopter that can quickly leave the range of electronic warfare (EW) systems.

Before that, it was known that they were named after scientists from MSTU. Bauman developed Two-layer anti-icing coating for drones.

Previously in Russia was created drone rapid detection system.
