NearLink allows you to transfer data over short distances with high speed and low power consumption. According to the company, NearLink is six times faster than Bluetooth, 30 times faster in terms of latency, and 60 times more energy efficient. Additionally, NearLink doubles the range and increases the number of connections by 10x.
The first product to support NearLink technology was the flagship smartphone Huawei Mate 60, introduced at the end of August. The company also plans to integrate NearLink into the HarmonyOS operating system and other devices from Huawei and its partners.
Huawei is actively collaborating with more than 300 companies to develop and implement NearLink technology, most of which are based in China. However, major players such as Intel, Qualcomm, AMD and NVIDIA have not yet joined the project.
