Philadelphia police reported that about a hundred young people participated in the looters’ actions. Most were dark-skinned. Young people raided wearing hoodies and Halloween masks. Nearly 20 juvenile offenders have been detained so far. Some were armed.
At least three stores were damaged in raids by a group of teenagers: Lululemon, Foot Locker and an Apple Store. Looters stole new iPhones and other electronic devices from the latter. Videos posted on social networks show young people breaking into the Apple Store pavilion, not noticing visitors and employees, grabbing gadgets from display cases and quickly hiding.
According to the Daily Mail, Philadelphia police detained, among others, the girl named Daijah Blackwell, who was broadcasting live on social networks from the streets of the city where the chaos was taking place. It is unknown what crime he is accused of.
