The global launch of TON Wallet will take place in November 2023. However, some users can now find a new section in the messaging settings. According to Durov, the Telegram crypto wallet will be available everywhere except the United States and “some other countries.”
Durov wrote that Telegram decided to develop its own blockchain service after the success of the Fragment platform, launched last fall, where you can buy and sell nicknames in the messenger for TON. According to Durov, Fragment’s turnover for almost a year amounted to 120 million dollars.
“We now want to deeply integrate blockchain technologies into Telegram. To do this, we worked with people from the TON community who helped us add the TON Wallet as a mini application to Telegram,” Durov wrote.
