Critics warmly welcomed Mortal Kombat 1, the new entry in the cult fighting game series from NetherRealm studio. This is due to the average point project on review aggregator Metacritic.
At the time of publication, Metacritic had collected ratings from five publications and only for the PlayStation 5 version. Gaming Age editors gave the new product the highest score: 100 out of 100, COGconnected – 90 out of 100, CGMagazine – 90 out of 100, VG247 – 80 out of 100 and Screen Rant – 70 out of 100. This means that the current average score of the game is 85 out of 100.
Journalists praised Mortal Kombat 1 for its competent development of the long-running series, as well as for the new Cameo game mechanic, which allows you to summon non-player characters from classic parts of the fighting game into the arena. The new single-player mode “Invasion” was also liked by most critics because it keeps players’ attention on the game even after the story campaign is completed.
The full release of Mortal Kombat 1 will take place on September 19, 2023 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC. Those who purchase the enhanced version of the game will have early access on September 14.
Previously on PlayStation 5 appeared big update.
