Almost all new iPhone models will be lighter than Apple’s 2022 smartphones. In this respect reports MacRumors publication, whose sources told journalists the exact parameters of some versions of the iPhone 15.
So, according to MacRumors, the thickness, length and width of the iPhone 15 base will be 7.8 mm, 147.6 mm and 71.6 mm, respectively. Weight – 171 grams. For comparison: the dimensions of the iPhone 14 are 7.8 mm, 146.7 mm and 71.5 mm, and its weight is 172 grams.
iPhone 15 Pro is 8.25 mm thick, 146.6 mm long and 70.6 mm wide. Weight – 188 grams. iPhone 14 Pro parameters: 7.85 mm, 147.5 mm and 71.5 mm, as well as 206 grams.
The thickness, length and width of iPhone 15 Pro Max are 8.25 mm, 159.9 mm and 76.7 mm respectively. Weight – 221 grams. The dimensions and weight of iPhone 14 Pro Max are 7.85 mm, 160.7 mm, 77.6 mm and 240 grams.
MacRumors writes that such a huge weight difference between the current and next-generation Pro models is due to different frame materials. While stainless steel is used in the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max, titanium is used in the new devices. In the case of basic iPhones, the difference is minor due to the use of aluminum as the main body material in both cases.
The parameters of the iPhone 15 Plus were not disclosed.
The launch of the iPhone 15 series will take place on September 12, 2023.
