If a suspicious drone is found in the sky, the Russians should not try to shoot it down on their own; instead, citizens are required to report the drone to the police. Evgeny Kleshnin, head of business development at Kaspersky Antidrone at Kaspersky Lab, mentioned this in an interview with socialbites.ca.
“Whether a military device or a civilian device is flying, whether it needs to be neutralized, law enforcement will figure out for themselves. Leave the security issues to the experts,” said the expert.
Kleshnin added that the detection of a drone in the sky is possible not only with the eye, but also with the help of special technical tools. One of them is the RF detector, a device that scans the radio air for drone signals.
“There are enough radio-frequency detectors on the market that by the standards of anti-drone solutions cost quite a lot of money: from 100 thousand rubles and above,” he said.
According to the expert, there is no point in escaping from a suspicious drone. Without additional detectors it is impossible to understand where and where the drone is flying from.
