Popular Japanese special PlayStation 5 will appear on PC

Square Enix has announced that its action RPG Final Fantasy XVI, which launched on PS5 in late June, will receive a PC version and two paid story expansions. In this respect knowledgeable game maker Naoki Yoshida on X’s (formerly Twitter) franchise page.

According to Yoshida, the authors have moved into the active development phase of the PC version and Final Fantasy XVI DLC. Details on these projects will be announced before the end of this year. The additions will expand the game’s story and allow players to explore the world of Valistea more deeply.

Yoshida also announced a free update for Final Fantasy XVI that will add some innovations to the game, such as the ability to change the appearance of the main character Clive’s weapon without losing its properties, a new weapon type, an alternative weapon type. Improvements to controls and UI gameplay, as well as character costumes.

Release dates have yet to be announced.

Final Fantasy XVI is a PC game for the PlayStation 5 console by the Japanese company Square Enix. The project was mentioned in the 2020 announcement trailer for PC, but this platform was later removed. At the end of June 2023, Final Fantasy XVI became the sixth fastest selling special in PlayStation history.

Formerly Sony introduced PlayStation Portal portable console for $200.
