A new WhatsApp application that supports group calls has been released for MacOS-based Apple computers. Message about it seen on the messenger developers blog.
It is stated that the new WhatsApp application for macOS is similar to the Windows version released earlier this year. Thanks to the new messaging client, group video and audio calls are now available to Apple users for the first time. Up to 8 people can join video calls and 32 people can join voice calls.
Users will also be able to join group calls, view call history, and receive incoming call notifications even when the app is closed after starting a call.
The developers have also updated the design of the app, making it more familiar to macOS users. Other features include the ability to send a file by dragging it into a conversation with the interlocutor, and the functionality to view a more detailed chat history.
The new WhatsApp app for Apple computers is currently available for download from the messenger website and will soon be available on the App Store.
