The Information Security Center (part of the Trusted Platform Association) has developed a new IP phone called Dialer that protects facilities against wiretapping. In this respect DEA News Oleg Vasilenko, senior engineer of the enterprise developer, said:

“When the phone is turned on, the protection is turned off and everyone in the room stops confidential conversations, when the phone is turned off, it returns to confidential topics and a special indicator on the dialer is lit again, indicating that the wiretapping protection is working,” Vasilenko said.

He also noted that the Russian Federal Technical and Export Control Service (FSTEC) has already approved this development.
