The Russian research and production enterprise “Radar mms” has developed a self-adjusting communication system to combine the control of several unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). In this respect informs Refers to Ivan Antsev, Executive Director of Radar mms, RIA Novosti.
The system is a terrestrial radio base station to which devices are automatically connected. They can be both ground devices and air drones. Antsev called the innovation “a modern rope-radio network.”
“The base station can be, for example, a control center for drones and receive information from several drones performing their duties,” Antsev said.
The complex can process connections of about 20 subscribers. At the same time, sitting provides a data transfer rate of up to 100 Mbps. The range depends on the power of the antenna and can reach 100 km.
“The communication complex can be used wherever there is a need to transmit information over long distances from point A to point B, but there are no wired communication channels,” added Antsev.
