A short teaser of the game Project Mugen, announced as an alternative to the popular Genshin Impact with GTA elements, has appeared on the network. In this respect informs Game Mag portal.
Judging by the published video, the game will have an open world with the ability to move in various types of transport. The city itself is vaguely similar to Night City from Cyberpunk 2077, with bright signs and some buildings.
Project Mugen is being developed by Naked Rain, part of the Thunder Fire Studio subsidiary of Chinese giant NetEase.
It was noted that the developers created a competitor to Genshin Impact by borrowing the original anime style and gacha elements – taking random game items from the casino in roulette format.
The full presentation of Project Mugen will take place on August 24 as part of Gamescom 2023. The project will be released on mobile devices running Android and iOS, PC and PlayStation 5. Apparently, Project Mugen will be available in a shareware distribution model.
