Hacker puts a database of 760,000 Discord accounts up for sale

The database of Discord.io users has been put up for sale on a shadow forum. In this respect informs Telegram channel of the Russian service “Information Leaks” for the discovery of vulnerabilities and data leaks, as well as for monitoring fraudulent sources on the DLBI darknet.

An unknown vendor offers to purchase a database of registered users and access to the Discord.io server, a third-party interface for the popular Discord messenger. According to the seller, the database contains 760,000 records, including email addresses, hashed passwords and other user data.

The vendor provided a test sample of the database that was verified by cybersecurity experts. It turns out that the test entries are valid and correspond to real Discord users. This means that the database can be used for phishing, spam or other fraudulent activities.

Discord representatives have not yet commented on the situation. Discord.io users are advised to change their passwords and enable two-factor authentication for their Discord account.
