In Russia, a system was created to search for cars even when they are stolen using signal suppressors. Andrey Zhukov, director of the Surrus company, told socialbites.ca about this.

Special software has been created for the new devices, with the system installed, it will allow customers to see approximately where their vehicles are.”

There are two different types of marks in search technology. The first tracks the approximate location and only works on the go. The location radius is from 200 m to 5 km. The latter works on the basis of radio signals, and with its help you can determine the exact location of the car.

The head of the company added that the Surrus device is much smaller compared to analogues abroad. As an example, he cites an analogue from the Czech Republic, which, although working on a similar principle, is more cumbersome.

“We did about 300 active searches for a car and one real case of theft in real conditions. And then the car was found. They stole it in Novosibirsk, but they finally found it in Almaty,” concluded Zhukov.
