In the first months of its launch, Apple’s Vision Pro mixed reality headset will be sold in company stores and by appointment only. Agency reports Bloomberg.

“Apple store staff will help customers get the Vision Pro with the right headband. This will be the most difficult launch of Apple gadget sales in terms of logistics,” he says.

To help customers choose the right headphones and accessories, Apple will designate a special area in the store to showcase the headset and necessary sizing tools.

The device will be available for purchase at all Apple retail stores in the US, but the company plans to initially focus on major US cities such as New York and Los Angeles.

Also, Apple stores will have to stock Carl Zeiss lenses for people with myopia or hyperopia. According to Bloomberg, Apple is also exploring the possibility of working with accessory manufacturers to create custom cases for an external battery pack.

According to the agency, Apple has no plans to sell the Vision Pro on third-party electronic networks until at least 2025. At launch, the Vision Pro will be a US exclusive device. The device is expected to be sold later in Canada and the UK, followed by Europe and Asia.
