The QIWI service has once again stopped accepting rubles to replenish its wallet in the Steam game store. The socialbites.ca correspondent was convinced of this.

A day ago, a number of Russian media outlets reported that the option to replenish a wallet from a ruble account was returned to QIWI – the service converted rubles into dollars, and then sent them to the Steam account balance. The commission for this method was about 7%.

However, within an hour the service started giving the error “Subscriber ID not found” and renewal became impossible. At the time of writing, socialbites.ca learned that the replenishment button on the ruble account had completely disappeared from the list of options. However, QIWI still has a method of replenishing Steam using a Kazakh wallet and converting it to tenge. The commission in this case will be about 10%.

Steam restricted payment methods for users in Russia in March 2022. Currently, you can use PayPal or the store’s wallet to purchase games – not a single Russian bank card is accepted by the service.

A simulator was previously released on Steam A pessimist from the Russian countryside.
