HMD Global has introduced a new G42 smartphone under the Nokia brand whose main feature is an easy-to-repair design. In this respect informs Version of GSM Arena.

HMD Global developed the Nokia G42 in partnership with repair specialists iFixit. The manufacturer adds detailed instructions for various types of repairs to the smartphone, and also promises to sell original spare parts for the model for five years. In particular, the display, battery and USB-C port are easy to replace on the G42.

The Nokia G42 has a 6.6-inch HD+ IPS display with a refresh rate of up to 90 Hz and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The screen has a V notch for the 8 MP front camera.

Responsible for performance is the octa-core Snapdragon 480+ processor and 4 or 6 GB of RAM. User data storage capacity is 128 GB. It can be expanded with a microSD memory card. The smartphone runs on Android 13.

The camera system consists of three modules. The main camera has a resolution of 50 MP and an aperture of f / 1.8, the second serves as a 2 MP macro camera, and the third is a depth sensor necessary for taking blurry portraits.

The battery has a capacity of 5000 mAh and supports fast charging up to 20 watts. It is stated that the battery retains 80% of its supply even after 800 charge cycles.

The novelty can already be purchased in European countries at a price of € 250 (about 23.5 thousand rubles at the exchange rate of June 28, 2023).
