Hundreds of Google Pixel smartphone users have complained on the Reddit forum about rapid battery drain and overheating of their devices shortly after a software update. In this respect informs 9to5google portal.
Owners of Pixel 6 and 7 smartphones write that after the update they had to charge the device several times a day. Some are reporting that they are facing loss of cellular connectivity and overheating of smartphones after the update.
It is unknown whether this is a common problem. However, some Google Pixel smartphone users reported that they did not encounter such a thing after installing the June update.
Google has not yet acknowledged the existence of bugs in the update that caused problems with smartphones. It is possible that it left the situation unanswered, but still it will fix all the shortcomings in the next update.
This isn’t the first time an update has caused similar issues for Pixel smartphone owners. For example, a new version of the Google app in May caused smartphones to quickly run out and overheat.
