OpenAI has introduced a new feature for its ChatGPT chatbot that allows users to send copies of their conversations to other people. In this respect informs ZDN portal.
To share “conversations”, the user of the web version of ChatGPT must click on the “Share” button located in the side menu of the chat list. Before creating the link, you can also set a username or make the chat anonymous.
The recipient of the link will be able to see the entire conversation between the user and the chatbot at the time of sending. It is not necessary to register with ChatGPT to view the conversations. If the user has his own account in the chatbot, he will be able to continue the dialogue on his behalf.
It should also be noted that the dialog does not update automatically if the user persists after submitting the link. To share the updated version of the chat, you need to recreate it and send a new link.
The ability to share a chat is available to users of the free ChatGPT plan and paid subscribers in the web version. The feature is expected to be integrated into the ChatGPT client for iOS in the near future.
