Developers from the Sakhalin Center for Unmanned Technologies have developed a quadrocopter that can quickly leave electronic warfare (EW) range. In this respect informs TASS refers to developers.

“Buttercup has a special setting: Our device gives full throttle when the drone enters the electronic warfare zone where satellites and radio control system are lost. It supposedly makes a recoil – it flies in an absolutely random direction to get out of the electronic warfare zone, ”explained the Sakhalin Center for Unmanned Technologies.

According to the developers, serial quadcopters from Chinese manufacturers do not have this protection. In the event of a loss of communication, after the battery is discharged, they will hover in the air and descend to the ground.

The Sakhalin Center for Unmanned Technologies said that the first version of Buttercup has already been tested in the NWO region. The developers noted that in the framework of hostilities “Buttercup” can be used for reconnaissance, as well as for the delivery of ammunition weighing up to 1.5 kg.
