Lyapunov said that major and major attacks on critical infrastructure have become more frequent in the last month and a half, and his company has responded to three of them.

“Attackers reach the control center, find the interface points between the enterprise segment and the control system, and destroy the control system. And that’s a scourge for us, and it seems we’ve only touched the tip of the iceberg of these targeted attacks,” stressed the expert.

Lyapunov divided the period after the start of SVO into three phases from a cybersecurity expert’s point of view. In the first, from March to July 2022, the cyber attacks were minor and could be characterized as “cyber hooliganism”, then from August to December 2022 the “major leaks” phase began.

“Now the third phase has begun, not the last, but penetrating targeted attacks – their task has become the destruction of the CII. “When there is a penetration into both enterprise systems and management systems,” he said.

Formerly RIA Novosti reportedthat hackers attacked more than 30 software development companies in Russia and Belarus in one year.
