Russians still prefer classic colors when choosing the color of their new smartphones, but some buyers are increasingly fond of shades with poetic descriptions. This is stated by Realme in the results of a survey taken by socialbites.ca.
A quarter of the respondents prefer black when purchasing a new gadget, while 14% prefer blue and metallic colors. White color was not very popular among Russians – only 6% of respondents prefer it. 8% are ready to buy a smartphone in rarer colors – green, purple or mother-of-pearl.
At the same time, poetic color names such as “galactic black” or “fiery red” began to attract more attention – more than half of potential buyers perceive it positively when manufacturers name their models’ shades in this way.
Although the color of a smartphone is important to respondents when choosing a new device, it is not a determining factor – 70.2% of respondents said so. Only 14% of respondents are willing to overpay to buy a model of a particular color they like.
2883 people over the age of 18 who are interested in technology and mobile devices participated in the research.
