Russians expect robots to deliver orders

More than 70% of Russians believe that soon online orders will be delivered to their homes by robots rather than couriers. This is stated in a joint study by SberMarket and Rusopros. DEA News.

“According to 71.5% of respondents, robots will deliver grocery items in the near future. However, only 7.3% also believe that mechanical couriers can completely replace living people, ”says the document, based on the results of the survey.

At the same time, 64.2% of Russians thought that as a result a hybrid option will work in the country – both robots and humans will be included in the delivery. The rest of the respondents (28.5%) reported that, in their opinion, in the future delivery will still be carried out only by couriers.

Almost 60% of buyers said they’ve seen changes in the system of interacting with the courier – the role of people’s direct involvement will diminish to the point where the customer and courier will not communicate at all.

The Russians also said that they expect a function to be introduced in the next five years that will allow them to receive single deliveries with orders from different stores and different sites. Some residents of the country reported that they want to control the process of picking vegetables and fruits for order in real time.
