Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates talked to students at Northern Arizona University and advised them to find the right balance between personal life and work. It has been reported business insider.
According to Gates, in his youth he was mainly engaged in business, and only after many years he realized that his personal life was no less important.
“When I was your age, I didn’t believe in holidays. I didn’t believe in weekends. I made everyone around me work long hours … But if you allow yourself to rest more, you will not be considered lazy, ”said the billionaire.
He added that he doesn’t understand the importance of work-life balance and that he often tracks when his employees leave work.
“Don’t wait as long as I do to learn this lesson. Take time to maintain your relationship, celebrate successes, and recover from setbacks. If you need rest, rest. Don’t put pressure on people nearby if they also need to rest,” Gates advised.
