Honor CEO Zhao Ming criticized the iPhone, calling the design of Apple’s smartphones “bad” and announced plans to create its own operating system to compete with Apple’s iOS. In this respect informs Portal MyDrivers.
According to Ming, Honor spent 10% of its revenues on smartphone development in 2022, noting that this is more than any other IT giant. He also stated that users complain about Apple smartphones. Allegedly, the iPhone has “bad hardware and design, poor connectivity, low autonomy, and thick bezels around the screen.”
However, Ming admitted that the iOS operating system for the iPhone is very well made.
“Creating an operating system comparable to iOS will allow Honor to catch up and overtake Apple,” said Zhao Ming. According to him, iOS hides all the shortcomings of Apple smartphones. He also highlighted that the company plans to develop its proprietary MagicOS 7.0 system to create an experience comparable to iOS.
