The American company Apple has a long-term plan to steal the developments of its own partners to apply it to their own devices. The newspaper writes about it The Wall Street Gazette.
It was noted that the Masimo case, which was activated by devices that measure the oxygen level in the blood, is far from being the only one. The firm started working with Apple on an offer from the Cupertino company, but eventually Masimo’s main employees were drawn to Apple and the technology was patented.
According to the WSJ, Apple has had about two dozen such “collaborations.” According to the company plan, negotiations are initially scheduled for a possible partnership or technology integration.
Then Apple abruptly cuts off the negotiations, but a year or more later releases its own gadget with similar features. Apple assures that the company does not steal technology and respects the intellectual property of its competitors.
According to the publication, Apple has attempted to invalidate several hundred patents belonging to other companies that have accused the tech giant of violating its intellectual property rights.
It was previously reported Masimo sued at Apple. The company claimed $3.1 billion in cash compensation, as well as common ownership rights to the patents used in the Apple Watch.
