On the YouTube Shorts service, scammers post short videos in Russian to deceive Russian schoolchildren and steal money from them under the pretext of investing in the Internet to make easy money. Kaspersky Lab announced that schoolchildren are offered to earn money on the Internet without investments through the Telegram bot of the popular cryptocurrency exchange, the link of which is attached below the full video.

The Telegram bot offers to replenish the balance first, that is, to transfer funds to an electronic wallet number. Victims are promised that the amount deposited will double within a week, but the money actually goes to the attackers.

“At the time we discovered the video had already had 156,000 views. Kaspersky Lab content analyst Olga Svistunova has more than 150 comments under the video, most of which are expected to be positive – attackers leave particularly positive comments,” said Olga Svistunova.
