Kaspersky Lab announced TASSdeveloped a mobile radio frequency detector to detect drones. The press service reported that the first 20 devices have already been delivered to one of the Russian commercial structures.
Kaspersky Lab engineers developed Kaspersky Antidrone Portable, a mobile RF detector for detecting drones.
Kaspersky Lab states that the detector is able to pinpoint the exact position of the most common drone models within a radius of up to 1 km. It can also determine the position of the operator controlling the UAV.
The developed device is less than 5 kg and fits in a hand luggage-sized bag. It can work offline for about two hours. It is also noted that, moving along the perimeter, the device operator can expand the search radius. The technology can also be used in conjunction with a mobile drone suppressor.
