Owners of the Samsung Galaxy S23 smartphone are largely complaining about a “blurry” flaw in the photos of the device. Portal reports petapixel.
One of the first to report the problem was a Reddit user named Switch01. According to him, when taking pictures in landscape mode, a blurry region appears on the left of the picture. If you’re shooting in portrait mode, the field “moves” up. It has an elongated shape, so it was called “fuzzy banana” in social networks.
According to user complaints, the problem occurs on the S23 and S23+ models, but does not affect the S23 Ultra. Given the high cost of smartphones on the market (starting at $799), most owners asked Samsung to explain the emerging “banana” phenomenon.
However, the problem, according to the company, is not a fault – the “banana” appears due to the characteristics of the camera and sensor, which “allows the user to enjoy the bokeh effect”, as in SLR cameras. A Samsung spokesperson recommended using zoom only for close-ups for “sharper shots”.
