In some markets, Xiaomi smartphones have started to come with three simultaneous pre-installed browsers. In this respect informs Android Authorized portal.
It is stated that Opera will now go with the Google Chrome browsers built into the MIUI system and the proprietary Mi Browser. The changes in the number of pre-installed apps were noticed by the Polish enthusiast kacskrz, whose claims were later confirmed by Xiaomi smartphone users.
As an enthusiast suggested, Opera appears in Indian MIUI roms and some global releases. Moreover, according to kacskrz, the browser is not in the firmware for Europe, Russia and Taiwan.
The Google Chrome browser is mandatory for certified Android devices, while Opera is pre-installed on Xiaomi smartphones, most likely as a result of an agreement between Xiaomi and Opera. It is not reported how long this deal will last and whether it will affect new markets.
