Twitter users encountered a major bug that caused private posts with the tag “Inner Circle” to appear in the “For You” public feed. In this respect informs TechCrunch portal.
As TechCrunch reporter Amanda Silberling wrote, she saw a post from someone she subscribed to on her feed. However, this post was intended for “Inner Circle” only. The post disappeared when the girl clicked it.
Twitter has not made an official comment on this matter – after the company was acquired by Elon Musk, it no longer has a press service.
The Close Circle feature was introduced on Twitter in August 2022. It allows the user to choose who can see their posts: all or only close contacts. This is different from private accounts, where promotion is set for all posts at once.
