Google CEO Sundar Pichai confirmed that the company’s co-founder, Sergey Brin, has returned to headquarters to personally participate in developments in the field of artificial intelligence. He talked about this in an interview with the newspaper’s Hard Fork podcast. New York Times.
“Sergei has been hanging out with our engineers for a while,” he added. Pichai revealed that he had personally spoken to Google’s co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin about working on artificial intelligence.
He also commented on the information that “code red” was announced within Google due to the ChatGPT chat bot from OpenAI, which uses its own developments in the field of artificial intelligence. He didn’t make the decision himself, according to Pichai, but some of the senior executives “sent emails that the code was red.”
The head of Google has responded to criticism of an experimental AI chatbot called Bard. He promised serious improvements in the work of the company’s new project. “It was important to me not to launch a more powerful model until we were completely convinced we could handle it,” he said.
It was previously reported that Google open access to Bard, the smart chatbot built into the company’s search engine. Initially, Bard will be available to users in a limited number of countries.
