The popular game Red Dead Redemption 2 has stopped working on computers running Windows 11. The cause of the malfunction was the KB5023774 update released by Microsoft on March 28. informs Portal Insider-Gaming.
Users noticed that after the update they were unable to launch Red Dead Redemption 2 via the Rockstar Games Launcher.
It was noted that Microsoft accepted this failure and worked with the Rockstar Games studio to eliminate it. The cause of the crash in Red Dead Redemption 2 is not yet clear. It is also unknown how the crash affected other games from the same studio, including Grand Theft Auto V.
Currently the only way to fix the problem is to update to the latest version of Windows 11 22H2 where the game is running normally.
