Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed the decree on making payments to Russians living abroad only in rubles or to accounts opened in Russian banks. TASS.
“Retirement, other payments and compulsory social insurance provisions against work accidents and occupational diseases. <…> It can be paid in Russian rubles to persons residing outside the Russian Federation by crediting their bank accounts. <…> or by debiting bank accounts in the currency of the Russian Federation opened by the said persons or their representatives in credit institutions established outside the Russian Federation.
It was noted that these measures were taken in the context of restrictive measures of an economic nature – Western sanctions.
Tatyana Moskalkova, Former Commissioner for Human Rights of the Russian Federation suggested issuing Russian passports to citizens of the Russian Federation in foreign missions.
