Since the beginning of 2023, the number of Russian IT experts who are hopeful for their own future has decreased while working in the IT sector in the country. This is stated in the RAEC survey for socialbites.ca.
“Overall, nearly half (47.9%) of IT professionals surveyed experience a sense of anxiety. “38.7% of IT professionals are ready to direct their energies towards innovation, but at the same time, a quarter of respondents (22%) see no hope for their own professional development.”
At the same time, the survey showed that the number of IT workers who positively evaluated the future of the Russian IT industry has increased compared to the results of the previous wave.
According to the results of the summer survey, if more than half of the respondents (50.7%) view the future negatively, this time 44.2% (-6.5 points) think negatively to some extent.
“More than half of the respondents (51.4%) said that the support measures taken were not personally beneficial for them. It is important for IT specialists to have the opportunity to work remotely from abroad and to have a guarantee of exemption from military service.” Among the top 3 most requested measures were preferential mortgages for IT professionals.
