Finnish developer Supercell has blocked the popular mobile game Clash Royale in Russia. This was confirmed by the socialbites.ca correspondent, who tried to start the project from an iPhone.
When you try to enter the game, a special message appears: “Failed to enter. Your current location does not allow you to log in.” When you turn on the VPN service and start Clash Royale, the game logs in and remains fully operational.
In 2022, the Finnish company removed all its games from the Russian App Store, but did not block access to them. At the time, projects continued to work without a VPN if they were downloaded before they were removed from the app stores.
Supercell in March annoyed Russians have access to another popular project – the game Clash of Clans. Then residents of Belarus were also banned.
Clash Royale gameplay is based on player-to-player battles where you have to defend your own towers from enemy attacks as well as destroy enemy towers with the help of unique cards. The game was released in 2016 and still remains one of the most successful projects from Finnish developers from Supercell.
