Founded by Elon Musk, Neuralink has started talks with one of the largest neurosurgery centers in the USA to test the chips implanted in the brain on humans. In this respect informs Reuters agency.

This is the Barrow Neurological Institute in Arizona. Neuralink wants to succeed in building a research team at the university that will study and test the chips to create a neural interface between a person and a computer.

It is said that Neuralink wants to convince the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) about the safety of its chips through research. In early 2022, the FDA banned Elon Musk’s company from testing his designs on humans due to “serious safety concerns.”

The Barrow Institute did not comment on negotiations with Neuralink, but noted that the university has a good chance of solving such studies, as its specialists have extensive experience working with neuroimplants.

Reuters writes that in parallel with the Barrow Institute, Neuralink is negotiating with several other research centers.

Formerly socialbites.ca Wrote neurophysiologist Kaplan explained why Musk had no expectations of working with neuro-interfaces.
