Apple has withdrawn orders for iPhone 15 screens from the Chinese company BOE due to problems with its production. In this respect informs Edition of The Elec.

It is stated that Apple is not satisfied with the quality of BOE’s OLED panels. A Chinese company is struggling to drill oval holes for the Dynamic Island module. Pieces made by BOE exhibited light leakage at the edges of the notch.

Due to BOE’s inability to fulfill Apple’s wishes, the American company decided to redistribute orders in favor of Samsung. Therefore, the production of OLED panels for the iPhone 15 series of the series will begin in May 2023, a month earlier than originally planned.

Elec believes that the current problems do not mean a complete severance of relations between Apple and BOE. Journalists suggest that Apple may reorder screens for the iPhone 15 from the Chinese company once it can improve the quality of its products.
