Journalists of the SmartPrix edition published 3D renders of the unannounced flagship Google Pixel 8, allegedly created according to official drawings in collaboration with a OneLeaks insider.

Judging by the published pictures, the body of the new product will receive rounded corners, in keeping with the spirit of the iPhone 6, 7 and 8. Additionally, Google has drastically redesigned the camera module – now all three lenses are combined into a single oval cutout. The flash and another sensor are moved to the right edge of the camera dock.

The purpose of the additional lens is unknown. SmartPrix believes it could be both a macro camera and a depth sensor.

The screen has also changed. While Pixel Pro series smartphones used to have rounded-edge screens, now Google seems to have decided to use flat panels. Its diagonal is expected to be 6.5 inches.

Other items (location of the USB connector, SIM tray, speakers, microphones and buttons) will not change.

The announcement of the Google Pixel 8 Pro will likely take place in the fall of 2023. However, it is highly likely that a teaser of the device will be shown at the Google I/O conference to be held in May.

Formerly socialbites.ca Wrote That the Google Pixel 7a smartphone was shown live long before the official announcement.
