But the planned changes did not go according to plan – as The Verge notes, only one engineer was responsible for implementing the project. He made a mistake and then temporarily “cracked” the Twitter API, which led to a large-scale failure.
According to the portal, the reason only one employee was involved in disabling free access to the Twitter API is due to the recent wave of layoffs for company employees initiated by new CEO Elon Musk.
