Tesla has opened access to Supercharger “gas stations” for electric vehicles of all famous brands. In this respect informs BGR post citing a company statement made during the Tesla Investor Day 2023 event.

It is noted that at the moment only “some” charging stations are transferred to universal mode. Non-Tesla EV owners will need to sign up for the company’s dedicated mobile app to use the Supercharger. For non-Tesla car owners, the Supercharger will cost more to use. Tesla justifies the increased tariff by offsetting the cost of adapting the Supercharger to other electric cars.

As part of the pilot project, universal access to Tesla “superchargers” will be opened in the USA, Australia, France, Netherlands, Norway, United Kingdom, Spain, Sweden, Belgium, Austria, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Luxembourg, Switzerland.
